Dilly Cocktail Crackers
The easiest snack recipe to ever exist that always gets absolutely demolished by guests!
Having extra snack-y items sitting around when you have house guests is always a good idea. Even if you’re just buying mixed nuts or pretzels from the grocery store, offering something outside of the main appetizer is a nice touch.
It allows people to munch while they’re meandering or lost in conversation, and I always receive subtle appreciation for these small details!
Enter, these dilly, garlicky cocktail crackers. My grandma always had them on hand in a jar growing up, so maybe it’s a nostalgia thing for me, but I CRAVE these tiny salty morsels and they only take 5 minutes to make.
Cocktail Crackers Recipe
1 cup neutral oil (canola, vegetable, avocado, sunflower, or grapeseed)
1 tablespoon dried dill weed
1 package dry ranch dressing mix (1oz)
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon kosher salt
20oz oyster crackers
Mix together the 1 cup neutral oil, 1 tablespoon dill weed, package of dry ranch dressing mix, 1 teaspoon of garlic powder, and 1 teaspoon of kosher salt until evenly combined.
Sometimes the ranch clumps up so it’s good to mix it up before adding it to the crackers for even distribution.
Add the crackers to a large zip top bag or tupperware container, then pour the marinade over the crackers. Shake the bag to fully coat the crackers and let them sit for about 24 hours to absorb all of the flavors. Toss the bag every few hours/when you remember!
After 24 hours, enjoy these snackers and watch them get demolished.
Notes:
Store tightly covered at room temperature for 2 weeks.
If you want to make a spicy version, add 1/4 - 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper.
The GOAT! Love these so so much
